Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Akshara Catering website ("Site") and any booking inquiry, communication, or catering service arranged through it. By submitting a booking inquiry through this Site, you agree to these terms.

1. An inquiry, not a booking, until we confirm

Submitting the booking form on our Contact page sends us an inquiry — it is not, by itself, a confirmed booking or a binding contract for catering services. A booking becomes confirmed only after we have discussed your event details with you directly (by phone or WhatsApp) and both parties have agreed on the scope of service, and we have updated your booking status to "confirmed" in our system. Menu availability, guest count capacity, and event dates are all subject to confirmation and are not guaranteed by the initial inquiry alone.

2. Deposits

Once a booking is confirmed, we may ask for a deposit to secure your event date. The deposit amount is set individually for each booking based on the scope of your event and is communicated to you directly before any payment link is sent. Deposits are paid through a secure payment link (Cashfree hosted checkout) sent to you via WhatsApp — we do not collect or store card details ourselves; see our Privacy Policy for how payment data is handled. Deposit refund and cancellation terms for a specific booking will be communicated to you directly when the deposit is requested, since these can vary with event size, timing, and circumstances.

3. Pricing

Akshara Catering is a quote-based business — we do not publish fixed prices on this Site. Final pricing is provided directly to you after we understand your event's scope (guest count, menu selection, service style, and location) and is confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp) before any deposit is requested.

4. Your responsibilities

When you submit an inquiry, you agree to provide accurate contact information and event details to the best of your knowledge, and to inform us promptly of any material changes (e.g. a large change in guest count, venue, or date) that could affect our ability to deliver the service as discussed.

5. Acceptable use of this Site

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or spam inquiries, or attempt to circumvent our anti-spam and abuse-prevention measures
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, its underlying systems, or another user's information
  • Use any automated system (bot, scraper) to submit inquiries or extract content from the Site without our prior written consent

6. Intellectual property

All content on this Site — including text, photography, recipes as described, logos, and the Akshara Catering name and branding — belongs to Akshara Catering or is used with permission, and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content or branding for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

7. Limitation of liability

We work hard to make sure the information on this Site is accurate and that our service, once confirmed, is delivered as agreed. That said, to the extent permitted by applicable law, Akshara Catering is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of this Site (for example, temporary unavailability of the Site or a form submission that does not go through due to a technical issue) — our aim in stating this is to set a reasonable boundary, not to disclaim responsibility for the catering service itself once a booking is confirmed in writing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Indian consumer protection law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts serving Hyderabad, Telangana, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
